For me, the most satisfying part of the design process is the reaction of
a truly pleased and satisfied client. The designs that have made me the
happiest are the ones where my client clearly recognized that the design
not only met their needs, but embodied their intention, ideas, and aesthetic
values - in short, designs that the client felt were as much theirs as mine.

I am a certified landscape designer through The Association of
Professional Landscape Designers.

I have been doing landscape design in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years. The jobs in the Pacific Northwest have been in very diverse microclimates, ranging from the coast to the mountains. (I have also done landscape jobs in Colorado, New Mexico and West Virginia.)

I design all kinds of gardens: Contemporary, Mediterranean, English, Victorian, Japanese, formal; Northwest natives, tropical, whimsical,… whatever you wish. I design for you, and I enjoy working with all your ideas.

I have a degree in Renewable Natural Resources from UCDavis and a life long interest in sustainability giving me a scientific understanding of the ecology of place and how to best create a healthy garden for you.

I'm a gardener. I know from experience what does well in the Northwest, what is invasive, what takes coddling, etc. My own garden is rather whimsical and wild.

Let's see, what have I forgotten? I studied landscape design at PCC. I come from a family of artists. I visit gardens when ever I can, either locally or in other countries for more inspiration and ideas that can be used in my design work. Most of my work is from referrals.
